When I was a kid art was my thing. And Chris Foss was my inspiration. I was hypnotised by his visions of the future and other worlds.

I would sit in my room listening to Jean Michel Jarre and losing myself in my own paintings. I was pretty good, finding my way easily to art college.

When I look at Chris’ work I am transported back to those days when my best friends would be a large piece of good quality paper, a good pencil and my watercolours. I don’t draw or paint much anymore, but I still have my copy of ’21st Century Foss’ in my bedside cabinet.

Chris, thank you for the inspiration.

    Best regards
    David Mclean

    Hello David

You paint a vivid scene of your days at art college, perhaps time to break out those large pieces of art paper, pencil and watercolours?

That’s wonderful that you still have your copy of 21st Century Foss close to hand. I will pass on your comments to Chris and thank you for posting. Do post again if there is anything you’d like to see on the site that isn’t currently up, or have a question for Chris and I’ll have a go at getting him to answer it.

    Very best wishes
    Imogene (Chris’s daughter)
