This site shows a small percentage of Chris's artwork created in the late 1960's through to the early 1980's. More of Chris's vast output will be added throughout the year, including illustrations from Dune and the Joy of Sex.
Chris is best known for his
book cover illustrations for
Isaac Asimov, James Blish, Philip K Dick and the EE 'Doc' Smith Series. He also created the black and white line drawings for the
Joy of Sex in 1971 and later More.
In 1975 Chris created visualisations for an unrealised version of
Frank Herbet's Dune. In 1976 Chris worked on three films,
Superman, Dan Dare and
Alien and in 1977
Flash Gordon. In 1993 Chris worked for Stanley Kubrick creating conceptualisations for
A.I.

It's also possible to write a review of all the illustrations. Chris is happy to discuss the commissioning of new artwork. He continues to experiment with new techniques and mediums, especially figure work, 3D model making and landscapes from his studio in Guernsey.
